My name is Tom Lovett. I live in Warwick RI, and am the proud owner of Lovett Amplification. In 2017, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. This was devastating news for my family and myself. Luckily, through the work of a truly excellent team of doctors, I went into remission after surgery and chemotherapy.
I thought a lot about what to do with the life I was given after remission. My time is far more valuable now than I once believed. I have always had a passion for guitars, amps, and music in general. Making my own amplifiers for a living has been a dream for a long time, so with my newly gained perspective I decided to make it a reality.
Lovett Amplification is a gift not only to myself, but to musicians everywhere. The only thing more satisfying than playing through an amp I built is hearing a great musician use one of my creations to express their passion. Every amp I build is a personal project. My dedication to each build is reflected in the naming of my amps; each model is named after a beloved dog in my life. Join me on my journey as an amplifier technician and craftsman, and know that every amp I make is crafted with ingenuity, with attention to the finest detail, and with the passion of a survivor doing what he truly loves.
